Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 October 2026.

timeshots is run by Mark John Ventures Pty Ltd in Melbourne, Australia ("timeshots", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It covers the timeshots.co website, including founding spots, the waitlist and invites, and the timeshots app. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Website sign-ups, founding spots and invites

What we collect

  • When you seal a spot or open an invite: your first name, last name, email address, mobile number and date of birth.
  • The time you signed up and agreed to hear from us.
  • Who invited you, if you joined through an invite link, and who joins through yours.
  • Your founding number, your invite code and the credit linked to your spot.
  • The time an invite link is opened. We don't record who opened it.
  • Your internet (IP) address, held briefly in memory to slow down repeated sign-up attempts. We don't save it to our database.

Why we collect it

  • To hold your founding spot or your place on the waitlist.
  • To check you are 16 or over. timeshots is for people 16 and over.
  • To run invites: give you your invites, track who joins through them, and add credit to your account.
  • To open early access for you when enough friends join through your invites.
  • To contact you about timeshots, including your spot, your credit and the launch.
  • To stop duplicate and fake sign-ups.

People under 16

If the date of birth entered shows someone is under 16, the sign-up is refused and nothing they typed is saved. If we find out we hold details of someone under 16, we delete them.

What other people can see

  • Anyone who opens your invite link sees your first name.
  • The person who invited you sees your first name in their invites.
  • No one else sees your last name, email address, mobile number or date of birth.

Hearing from us

When you sign up, you agree that we may email or text you about timeshots. Every message we send will include a way to unsubscribe, or you can email support@timeshots.co at any time. Unsubscribing doesn't remove your spot.

When you share your invite link, you send it yourself from your own phone or apps. We don't contact your friends for you.

Where your details are kept

  • Our sign-up database is hosted by Supabase on servers in Sydney, Australia.
  • The website is hosted by Vercel. Your details pass through its servers when you sign up, and these may be outside Australia, including in the United States.
  • A copy of the sign-up list is kept in a Google Sheet that only the timeshots team can open. Google may store it outside Australia, including in the United States.

These providers hold and process your details for us under their own security and privacy terms. Your details are sent over an encrypted connection, and only the timeshots team can see them. We never sell your details or share them for anyone else's marketing.

Cookies and your device

After you sign up, we save a private code on your device, in a cookie and in your browser's storage, so the site recognises you when you come back. Tapping "not you? start again" removes it. The website doesn't use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.

How long we keep your details

We keep your sign-up details while your spot is active, until you ask us to delete them, or until we no longer need them for the reasons above.
